I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to all her family and friends and so much for her little boy. I hope the person who took this beautiful life is caught. I will never understand how someone can just take someone's life as if that person wouldn't be missed or the fact that she was so LOVED so much by family and friends and the hole that it leaves in our souls is a forever one. My mother was taken from us and so with all my heart i'm sorry and i know that she'll always be with you and she will ALWAYS LIVE IN YOUR HEARTS.

My deepest sympathies,

All I can say is that I am so sorry for the loss that has been felt by Janet's family and friends. My heart goes out to you. You will be in my prayers. It is a nice thing to know that you will be with Janet again. She is taking care of that sweet little baby and will be reunited with you again. I pray that justice is found here in this life - if not the next. My prayers go out to you.

Hey C family,
It's been years since I have been in the area and only recently heard about what happened to Janet. I am so sorry for your loss and the world is definitely a darker place with out her. I have been living abroad and was very out of touch with the area. Since returning and hearing about a friend that I grew up, went to all my schools with from Columbia to Annandale has passed is painful to me. Despite going our separate ways after High school I always remember the times we shared whether is was playing soccer, in band at Holmes, or marching band camp at Annandale. I still have the soccer picture from when we were about 6 or 7 with George as the coach. She will be greatly missed and I pray one day there will be closure. Even though she is gone she will never be forgotten.

Dear Friends and Loved Ones:

Please accept my most sincere condolences and very deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear loved one, Janet. I did not have the opportunity to meet her, but from her pictures and the story, she surely seems like a very sweet, lovely young lady whose shy but bright smile could light up a room.

I saw the Primetime special this week, and you have all been on my mind and heart since that time.

Just remember that you have another very special Heavenly Angel up there on your side watching over you and over her special little one, Kaiden.

Remember that the Bible says that "1,000 years with man is as one day with the Lord". So, when you are feeling low or sad, just do the math.... If you live 100 more years before you join her in Heaven, it will only seem to her as if it has been 2.4 earthly hours since she has seen you!! I hope that makes you feel much better!!

I know it seems as if the wheels of man's justice can turn oh, so slowly; but as the Bible says, they will "grind to a powder". The situation will work out, and justice will be served in this world or at God's judgment.

I pray that God's richest blessings will be upon you all.

Debbie B.

I saw your daughters tragic story on the primetime special,I first would like to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family. I watched the primetime special along with my 15 year old son, only partially into it I just knew he is responsible for your daughters death. My 3 children and I are domestic violence survivors! I Identified with certain parts of your daughters story, thats how I know! This man is guility! He can run, but a lepoard can not change his spots! My lil girls "biological father" did alot of horrible things to my kids sexually, mentally, physically! He could tell you the sky was purple and eventually would have you believing it!The Family courts didn't want to believe me as well as they waited 11 Months before sending our 2 year daughter to see a sexual abuse evaluator! So, of course they tell me well we can't prove she was sexually abused! I was told by the courts he was going to be allowed supervised visits! In the end he ended up getting back with the mother of his twin sons , she had a older daughter 8years old he molested her, now all of sudden the courts wanted to listen, but it was to late he got away, approx. on or around Feb.14th 2007! The thing that saddens me is I can't change the abuse my children or I went through, what saddens me more is that this man is out there to abuse how many more women or children? I have turned this over to my Lord and Savior! I believe he will not leave me or forsake me or my children! He will get us through our tragic experiences as he will your Family!I will hold You all up in my prayers! God Bless You All! Brenda, From NY

I watched the ABC Primetime Special last night about Janet and felt compelled to visit this website to offer my deepest sympathy in your loss. She was such a forgiving person in spite of what Raven put her through. Forgiveness is what ended up hurting her the most but she did it for Kaiden. She was such a loving, caring, kind and considerate mother.

I cannot believe the things Raven said to his new wife with regard to Janet. The part that irks me the most is the fact that he has refused a polygraph test and has not been forthcoming with the police in any way, shape or manner. He is totally 110% GUILTY TO THE MAX!!! How he can live with himself is beyond me...but every dog has his day and his day is coming...soon I hope for your family's sake. The fact that he went so far as to take out a $500,000 life insurance policy on her before murdering her further proves his motives.

I wish you and your family solitude if that is ever possible after experiencing such a horrific loss in this manner. God bless all of you who will forever feel the pain! I truly feel for all of you!

I'm sorry for your loss and I hope justice is served soon. I lost my brother 25 years ago to murder and though we know who is responsible, there is not enough evidence to go to trial according to the Durham Police Dept. Victims families are always the losers in more ways than one.

God Bless!!!

I saw the show on TV last night and I can't stop thinking about this sad story. My deepest sympathy goes to Janet's family and friends. I pray that Raven is arrested soon. It's ridiculous that he has not yet been held accountable for what he did.

I'm really sorry about what happened to your sister, daughter, neice, cousin,ect.. She was a beautiful woman and she was strong and intelligent.. I agree with you on this case it doesn't make sense to me.. I don't understand how you can mistake a stab wound from a gun shot. I honestly believe that Raven is guilty and he should be punished for what he has done.. I Shantaze am going to help as much as I can to find out what happened to Janet.. She will be loved and missed.

I saw the Primetime Program last night. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Janet's family. What a horrible tragedy! God Bless All Of you and precious Kaiden.
I hope that Raven will be brought to justice and that Kaiden will be with your family!
Isn't it possible that Kaiden committed the murder before his soccer game? No forced entry. Only his knife collection and his laptop were missing. Sounds very peculiar. Even their old neighbors sounded convinced that Raven was guilty.
Hopefully he doesn't do this to anyone else!
God Bless You All!!
